Labor Day Weekend in Cathedral City: CCBC Is Taking It Poolside


Looking for gay things to do in Palm Springs and Cathedral City this Labor Day Weekend? Here’s one to put on the calendar.


Labor Day Weekend is almost here, and Greater Palm Springs is giving us another reason to spend it by the pool.

On Saturday, September 5, CCBC Resort in Cathedral City is hosting its Labor Day Weekend Pool Party, with DJ Bobby poolside from noon–4 PM.

And if you’re coming in from LA, San Diego or somewhere farther away, the party itself doesn’t have to be the whole day. Event passes include eight consecutive hours of resort access, making it easy to turn an afternoon pool party into a full Cathedral City experience.

For anyone unfamiliar with it, CCBC is a 21+ clothing-optional gay men’s resort located just minutes from downtown Palm Springs. It’s become one of those distinctly desert destinations that makes Greater Palm Springs unlike pretty much anywhere else.


Before You Go:

The pool party runs 12–4 PM on Saturday, September 5, 2026.

A current government-issued photo ID is required, passes are limited, and CCBC has a clear-bag policy. Advance registration is recommended.

And remember: September is still September in the desert.

Hydrate. SPF. Hydrate again.

Then worry about the swimsuit.

Make a Weekend Out of It:

If you’re traveling for Labor Day, don’t limit yourself to downtown Palm Springs.

Cathedral City has its own growing LGBTQ+ scene, while downtown Palm Springs and the Arenas District are only a short drive away.

Pool during the day. Dinner somewhere good. Drinks after dark.

Sounds like a pretty solid Labor Day Weekend to us.
